News/Cats and Haensel invest in the US market. print

Since Cats Flexible Packaging and Haensel Flexible Packaging have joined the Clondalkin Group in 2001, a lot of changes have positively impacted both companies. Investments in new equipment have been realised, the turnover has continued to grow, the customer base has been enlarged  and the Long Term Sales and Operations Planning have brought new challenges to both companies.

The investment in a new ‘wax coater’ for Cats Flexible Packaging, that is due to be installed at the end of Q2, has raised triggered new requests and opened yet more doors for new challenges with regards to the future plans of both companies.

Today Cats and Haensel are the market leaders for wax coated papers and wax laminates to the European Confectionery market. Its goal is not only to secure this position, but to roll out its success to other market opportunities.

With the support of Spiralkote, an Orlando, FL based (Clondalkin) sister company, Cats and Haensel now invest more time and resources into the confectionery market across the Atlantic, the Americas.

A first step in the approach of the American Confectionery market will consist of supplying the market from the two European plants, Cats and Haensel. But it is clear that the real intention behind the plan, is to set up a local American supply chain for wax coated paper and laminates, again with full support of Spiralkote, the local heroes in the Flexible Packaging market.

The current contacts and leads in the American market prove that this approach is up for success. Backed up by the Clondakin Group (www.clondalkin-group.com), Cats & Haensel and Spiralkote will continue in their quest to gain a new market position on American soil. A story that will surely continue to attract your attention in the near future.

And as in all big stories… to be continued…
