In order to comply with the french and european regulation in terms of atmospheric emission of solvents, Compagnie Franco Suisse has invested over 3 millions Euros to build a brand new solvents recovery facility.

All solvents used during the printing and glue laminating processes are now gathered to be recycled. All machines have been equiped, and the machines which were too old to make it possible have ben replaced.

The solvents are recycled in 3 phases :

1. Treatment by adsorption of atmospheric rejects on activated carbon.
2. Inert gaz-nitrogen regeneration.
3. Solvents recovery through distillation.

The recovered solvents can then be reused in production.

Thanks to this equipment, CFS is now nearly totally independent in terms of solvents supply and does not suffer any more from solvents prices increases.
