We are pleased to inform you that the Board and General Assembly of EuroWaxPack have decided to redefine and focus its Mission statement in order to support a more proactive approach of the flexible packaging market.

The newly rephrased Mission statement that will align all our future actions is now as follows:

“Eurowaxpack communicates the benefits of waxed paper - a modern, high performance, cost-effective and environmentally sound packaging material. Eurowaxpack also strives at EU level to ensure that these advantages are reflected in legislation.”

Challenging ourselves to promote the use of wax coated paper and wax paper based laminates has a direct result - all current participant members of EWP have committed to assign the necessary resources to EWP, in order to communicate this positive message to all stakeholders inside and even outside the direct industry scope.

It is crystal clear that the only way forward in the world of waxed paper based flexible packaging is to ensure that all industry partners involved, seek new innovative ways of using this natural resource offered by waxed paper.
The rejuvenation of one of the most traditional flexible packaging materials around can only be successful if efforts throughout industry are united in achieving this goal – a goal, which in the end will benefit all.

In order to create this new interest, the EWP have set up a new list of actions that will have their effect and that will be communicated in the coming weeks and months by means of our website and specific newsletters.
