Achievements

Since its formation, EuroWaxPack has achieved considerable results, such as:

• performing a survey of current waste disposal methods;
• supporting the development of recycling technologies;
• carrying out studies and trials to establish feasibility and efficiency of recycling;
• successful lobbying at E.U. level, influencing, through existing channels, the new packaging and packaging waste directive;
• proving the biodegradability of waxed paper packaging;
• directly communicating to European decision makers in the food and packaging industry;
• creating a website as an information platform;
• establishing statistics to follow trends in relevant waxed paper markets;
• increasing the awareness of waxed paper benefits through focused campaigns.

Outlook

We are preparing quarterly e-newsletters to decision makers in the market place. The EuroWaxPack newsletter will focus on new developments and information regarding waxed paper packaging.

We are convinced that new members will see the advantages of our association and help us spread our message. Our new website will make it easier to reach out to a larger audience. In 2006, there are no boundaries for EuroWaxPack!
